Asus 8Z Confirmed To Launch On February 28 In India

Asus launched its Asus Zenfone 8 series of smartphones last year in the global market and confirmed that the Asus Zenfone 8 would arrive in India, albeit with a slightly different moniker, the Asus 8Z. Ever since the official announcement, those interested have been waiting for the brand to take the wraps off its Asus 8Z in the country, but that has not happened yet. While all hope appeared to have been lost, Asus has rekindled the interest in its Asus 8Z, as the brand has now confirmed that the device will launch in India on February 28. Let’s take a look.

Asus 8Z Indian Launch Confirmed

Asus took to Twitter to confirm the launch of the Asus 8Z in India. The device will be unveiled in the country on February 28, 12pm. Interested buyers will be able to get their hands on the device via Flipkart in the country. Check out the the teaser below:

Asus 8Z Specifications

Coming to the specifications of the device, the Asus 8Z sports a 5.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1,110 nits brightness, 112% DCI-P3 color gamut, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Under the hood, the Asus 8Z is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, which is clubbed with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS3.1 storage. In the software department, the Asus 8Z is likely to boot Android 11-based ZenUI 8 out of the box.

For photography, the Asus 8Z features a 64MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. At the front, the device has a 12MP selfie shooter. The device measures 148×68.5×9mm and weighs in at 169g. The Asus 8Z is IP68 water and dust resistant. Lastly, the Asus 8Z features a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
