Vivo introduced its V23 series of smartphones in January 2022. Now, it is said to be working on its successor. According to our industry sources, Vivo is gearing up to launch its new Vivo V25 series in India in mid-August 2022. The Vivo V25 series falls in the premium mid-range category of smartphones and is expected to debut with two handsets initially.
The Vivo V25 5G vanilla variant and the Vivo V25 Pro will be the successors to the Vivo V23 5G and the Vivo V23 Pro smartphones in the lineup. Both the handsets will lock horns with the recently launched Oppo Reno 8 and the Oppo Reno 8 Pro from Vivo’s sister company, Oppo. The company will introduce the third handset in the series, likely to be named the Vivo V25e, later during Diwali.
Vivo V25 Series Expectations
The Vivo V25 Pro will come with a premium build and a 3D curved glass. The Vivo V23 Pro was touted to be the slimmest smartphone with curved glass. So, expect the Vivo V25 Pro to be lightweight and slim just like its predecessor. Sharma adds that the Vivo V25 Pro will be positioned slightly lower in terms of price when compared to the Oppo Reno 8 Pro. He expects it to be priced at around ₹40,000 when it arrives in India.
Talking about the processor, the Vivo V23 Pro came with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. Since the new Oppo Reno 8 Pro comes with a more powerful Dimensity 8100-Max processor, it would be safe to assume that the Vivo V25 Pro could be powered by the same chip.
