Fitbit, a Google-owned brand, has been updating its Charge 5 fitness band with features ever since its launch in 2021. Now, it has added a new clockface called “Boom” with two colour options to the Charge 5. The brand is also updating its Luxe fitness tracker with an additional clockface apart from the two “Boom” clockfaces.
Fitbit keeps adding such nifty features to keep users excited. Back in November 2021, the company added the ECG functionality to its Fitbit Charge 5 through a software update. Holding your fingers on the stainless-steel panels of the device for 30 seconds gives you a full diagnosis of your heart health. The update also included a “Daily Readiness Score” feature that analyses your daily activities, heart rate variations, and sleep patterns to provide you with an overall fitness report. Furthermore, the update enabled Fitbit users in India to use the new blood glucose logging tool via the Fitbit app.

You can pair the Charge 5 to your smartphone via Bluetooth and track the smartphone if it gets misplaced within the 10m range. Tapping on the “Find Phone” option in the Find Phone app on your Charge 5 will make your smartphone emit a loud noise, even if it’s on silent mode, to help you track it with ease. Now, the Fitbit Luxe variants also get the “Find Phone” functionality with this update.
