Fossil Gen 6 Venture Edition With Snapdragon, AMOLED, PPG Heart Rate Launched In India: Price

Fossil has multiple versions of smartwatches based on its Gen 6 series such as the Razer x Fossil Limited Edition, Fossil Skagen Falster Gen 6, and Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid, among others. Now, it has added the new Gen 6 Venture Edition to the lineup. The smartwatch comes with a conventional chronograph watch-like design and features a Snapdragon chipset, AMOLED display, a two-week battery, Alexa support, GPS, Wi-Fi, fast charging support, and more.

Fossil Gen 6 Venture Edition: Features, Specifications

The Fossil Gen 6 Venture Edition comes with a 44mm stainless steel case with a knurled finish on the bezel and three buttons. The strap is made from recyclable materials such as eco-leather, nylon, and plastic bottles. The Venture Edition is aimed toward adventure freaks and gets a special new watch face that features a compass, health data, and water intake tracker at a glance.

The smartwatch sports a 1.28-inch AMOLED display with 416 x 416 pixels display resolution and 326 PPI. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100+ platform. The watch comes equipped with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

The Fossil Gen 6 Venture Edition comes with a PPG heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor (Blood Oxygen), support for sleep and step tracking, and fitness tracking. Other sensors include Accelerometer, Altimeter, Ambient Light, Compass, Gyroscope, and an Off-body IR.

Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC. The smartwatch comes with an inbuilt speaker, microphone, and vibration for calls and notifications. You can even interact with Alexa to perform various functions. The Gen 6 Venture Edition is reported to offer a battery backup of up to 14 days. You can fast charge it up to 80 percent in under 30 minutes. It runs on Google’s Wear OS and is eligible for the Wear OS 3 update.
