Google announced on Friday that it will launch the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro at its “Made by Google” annual hardware event on October 6, 2022. The Google Pixel 7 series will be available for pre-order from the same day. That means, these will be the first Pixel flagships to officially launch in India after the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL. Google has not shied away from revealing the design and some of the key specifications of its upcoming flagship smartphones, along with the colour variants it will come in.

This will be a Flipkart exclusive smartphone. The pre-orders will start from 9:30 PM. The pricing and sale date of the smartphones, however, will be revealed either at the launch, or after it ends.
Google shared a post on Twitter revealing the pre-order date. The poster in the tweet also revealed the colour options for the phones in India. The Pixel 7 Pro will come in Obsidian, Snow, and Hazel while the Pixel 7 will come in the lemongrass variant instead of the hazel.
There are pricing rumours doing the rounds ahead of the October 6 launch. A leaked Amazon listing revealed that the standard Google Pixel 7 could be priced at $599 (roughly ₹50,000), while the Pixel 7 Pro could come with a $899 (roughly ₹75,000) price tag.

So far, Google has confirmed that the Pixel 7 series will feature the next-generation Google Tensor G2 SoC, which is a slightly tweaked version of the old one. Google claims that the chip will scale up the performance of the experiential features by a big margin.
The design takes after its predecessor with some meaningful refinements over the rear visor which now has a more streamlined look. Other reports claim the Pixel 7 could feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 90 Hz refresh rate, while the Pixel 7 Pro could come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate. Google could offer up to 12GB RAM in these with 256GB storage, along with the Titan M security chip.
