iQOO India has finally revealed the launch date of its highly anticipated iQOO 9T smartphone in India. The Amazon landing page of the device suggests it will mark its arrival on August 2, 2022. Moreover, an image shared by iQOO confirms the launch price to be below ₹55,000 in the country. The synthetic benchmarks were conducted on the 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant, which indicates that it will be the largest configuration on offer. There are chances the 8GB RAM variants might start below ₹50,000 in India.
There are a few other takeaways from the Amazon listing. The iQOO 9T will be offered in a BMW Motorsport livery and a solid grey colour option. The BMW M-Sport edition might be limited to the top-spec variant. Furthermore, the smartphone is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset based on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process. The recently launched Asus ROG Phone 6 series of gaming smartphones were the first to debut with this processor. The iQOO 9T will be the brand’s first device in India to come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

According to iQOO, the smartphone has set the Antutu benchmark charts on fire, as it managed to score over 11,15,580, beating the devices powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the Dimensity 9000 chipsets. If it holds true, this should be enough to topple the Antutu leader, the Red Magic 7, which has a top score of 10,46,552. iQOO has always produced great gaming-oriented smartphones such as the iQOO 3, iQOO 7, iQOO Neo 6, and the likes. The iQOO 9T will likely be no different, as it will be loaded to the gills with gaming features and advanced cooling tech for sustained performance.
The smartphone will be equipped with a triple camera setup at the rear and a single selfie camera at the front. iQOO has borrowed the V1+ imaging chip from its sister company, Vivo, for its iQOO 9T. It will enhance the low-light and nighttime photography of the device.
The iQOO 9T is confirmed to sport an E5 grade AMOLED panel by Samsung with a 120Hz screen refresh rate. The device will be powered by a 4,700mAh battery under its hood coupled with 120W Flashcharge fast charging tech. Expect the brand to reveal more information about the handset ahead of the launch.
