Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass could soon get a Family Plan option. According to Windows Central, the Xbox Game Pass Family Plan will let up to five players access games across the entire library, as long as they live in the same country. It will reportedly launch sometime this year.
Although Xbox Live Gold offers Family Plan, Xbox Game Pass has always been restricted to a single-account subscription. The Family Plan subscription which will supposedly come to Xbox Game Pass will make it easy for users to share the service across multiple consoles and households.

The report notes that it will use Microsoft’s Family Account system which is already utilized by Office 365. Gamers residing in the same country will be able to use a single Xbox Game Pass subscription, which will be managed by a central account holder, similar to how Netflix operates.
However, it’s unclear whether Family Plans will be exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or if there will be separate plans for PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass console. The report states that it will be “far cheaper than having to pay for several separate accounts as required today”, but does not mention its exact pricing.

Xbox Game Pass is a game subscription service that you can buy for less than ₹500 per month. It gives you access to more than 500 games. The Xbox Game Pass library presents a wide range of games for Xbox and Windows PCs, all for a fraction of the price that you would otherwise spend on buying those games individually. In short, it’s a Netflix-like service, but for games.
