Microsoft has introduced its Surface Laptop Go 2 in India. It debuted in the global markets in June 2022, and is arriving in India a month later. The Surface Laptop Go 2 carries the same design as its predecessor but comes with changes to its internals. The new laptop features Intel’s 11th Gen Core i5 CPU, Iris XE graphics, Dolby Audio Premium, and a metal build, among other features.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 boasts of a premium aluminium and metal finish. It is lightweight as it weighs just 1.12 kilograms. The laptop sports a 12.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen display with 1536 x 1024 resolution, 148 PPI, and a peak brightness of 330 nits.
The major change comes in the form of a new processor. It is now powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU coupled with Intel Iris Xe Graphics. The laptop is equipped with up to 16GB LPDDR4x and 256GB of SSD storage.

The Surface Laptop Go 2 comes with a 720p HD f/2.0 aperture camera (front-facing) camera and dual far-field studio microphones for enhanced video calling. However, it misses out on Windows Hello facial recognition support. It uses a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button for biometrics. For entertainment purposes, it packs in Omnisonic Speakers with Dolby Audio Premium support.
The laptop utilises Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.1 LE for connectivity. Physical ports on the notebook include one USB Type-C port, one USB Type-A port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a single Surface Connect port. The brand promises that it can provide up to 13.5 hours of battery backup on a single charge. The laptop runs on Windows 11 Home out of the box.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 comes at a starting price of ₹73,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs ₹80,999. It will be available for purchase via Amazon and Reliance Digital.
