Moto G100 Android 12 Update Released: New Features List

Customers all over the world have been waiting a long time for the Motorola Moto G100 Android 12 upgrade to arrive. This device has finally picked up the update that everyone has been waiting for. The brand has begun rolling out the Android 12 update in a phased manner, so it will take a while before the update is available for everyone.

Since the Moto G100 was on the list of Motorola devices that would receive Android 12, there was never a doubt that it would receive the upgrade. Let’s take a closer look at the Android 12 update for the Moto G100, and everything we know so far.

Moto G100 Android 12 Update Status

The Android 12 update for the Moto G100 is currently rolling out to users in Brazil, one of the company’s largest markets, with model number XT2125-4-DS . The new Android 12 update bears firmware version S1RT32.41-20-16 and has a size of around 1.5GB.

The update brings all the goodies of Android 12, along with last month’s Android security patch. The update is currently only available in Brazil and while Motorola hasn’t released any formal details on the rollout so far, we expect the company to do so in the coming weeks in other regions.

Some improvements include a new Material You UI, approximate location permissions, improved widgets, microphone and camera privacy toggles, a revamped privacy dashboard, improved Android Game Mode and more.

Owners of the Moto G100 may receive an update notification in the following days. If you can’t wait, you can manually check for updates by going to Settings > System > Advanced > System Updates. Before updating to any major Android OS updates, it is always recommended to take a complete backup of your data.

The Moto G100 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 SoC and runs Android 11 out of the box. Additionally, it has a triple rear camera module comprising a 64MP, 16MP, and 2MP cameras. Fueling the smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging.
