Motorola is on an onslaught lately, dropping various mid-range smartphones in the market. It is now reportedly working on adding one more G-series device, namely the Moto G72 to its lineup, which will be a successor to the Moto G71 5G device. The Lenovo-backed company is yet to announce its launch date, but thanks to tipster Paras Guglani and Pricebaba, we have a tentative launch timeline for the device. The Moto G72 could mark its debut in September or October 2022.
The Moto G72 smartphone, codenamed “Victoria22”, with model number XT2255 was spotted on various certification websites such as FCC, TDRA, IMEI database, and also the Indian BIS certification. This hints that its launch is imminent in India as well as other regions.
Moto G72: Specifications (Expected)
The Moto G71 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset. The new Moto G72 could be powered by the same processor, if not better. It is expected to come with 5G network connectivity. It might feature a different chipset if it turns out to be a 4G device. It is rumoured to be equipped with 6GB and 8GB RAM options, with the option of expanding the RAM by 4GB via the virtual RAM expansion feature.
In terms of optics, the Moto G72 is tipped to sport triple rear cameras comprising a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor.
