After multiple leaks and rumours, Motorola has finally announced its latest G-series smartphone, the Moto G51, in China. The Moto G51 is the successor to the Moto G50 that was launched earlier this year. Compared to the Moto G50, the Moto G51 comes with a faster processor (Snapdragon 480+) that also supports high-refresh-rate displays. The smartphone has a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz display. It has 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a 50MP triple-camera setup on the rear, and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone is available in just one storage configuration that has 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As of now, the Lenovo-owned brand has not announced any details regarding the global availability of the Moto G51.

The Moto G51 has a punch-hole-shaped cutout on the display to accommodate the selfie camera. The device has thin bezels on the sides. On the back, there’s a triple-camera setup. The device sports a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display that has HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The Moto G51 is the first smartphone in the world to use the Snapdragon 480+ processor that was announced recently. This new chip offers a higher clock speed compared to the standard Snapdragon 480.
The smartphone packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device also has support for 3GB of Virtual RAM. On the software side of things, the Moto G51 runs Android 11 out of the box with a layer of My UI 2.0 user interface. You can capture selfies using the phone’s 13MP front-facing camera. The smartphone features a triple-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. The rear-facing camera supports photography features like Night Vision, Dual-View video recording, Spot Colour photography, and more.
The device packs a 5,000mAh battery. As of now, there are no details available if the device supports any kind of fast charging. For security, the device has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity features of the smartphone include a dual-SIM card slot, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
