Exactly one week after unveiling brand new MacBooks and Mac Mini with its own M1 chip, Apple has launched its new Macs in India. The all-new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13, and the Mac Mini are now available in India via Apple’s website. All three computers use Apple’s own, ARM-based M1 processor, which is replacing Intel processors.

This variant has a 7-core GPU. The variant with an 8-core GPU and 512GB storage starts at ₹1,17,900.
The MacBook Pro with the M1 processor starts at ₹1,22,900 in India for the 256GB version and the 512GB version costs ₹1,42,900.
The price of the Mac Mini with the M1 processor in India is ₹64,900 for the base version that has 256GB storage. Bumping up the storage to 512GB costs ₹20,000 extra, taking the Mac Mini’s price to a total of ₹84,900.
All these computers can be configured on Apple’s website to carry 16GB RAM and up to 2TB of internal storage. Here is the price for upgrading from a base of 8GB RAM and a base of 256GB storage:
- 16GB RAM: Additional ₹20,000
- 512GB Storage: Additional ₹20,000
- 1TB Storage: Additional ₹40,000
- 2TB Storage: Additional ₹80,000

Even Apple sells the Apple Care+ plan that covers three years of service and up to two accidental damage incidents every 12 months. However, it doesn’t cover water and liquid spills, and it costs a whopping ₹21,990.
Apple MacBook Air (With M1 Chip) Specifications
The new MacBook Air features a 13.3-inch Retina Display (IPS LCD) with QHD resolution, 400 nits brightness, DCI-P3 Wide Colour Gamut (WCG), and True Tone colour temperature adjustments. It runs macOS Big Sur and comes equipped with the M1 processor, 8GB/16GB RAM, and 256GB/512GB/1TB/2TB NVMe storage.
The new laptop has stereo speakers with wide stereo audio and Dolby Atmos playback. The new MacBook Air also features three-microphone array with beamforming technology, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 720p webcam. It has a Touch ID fingerprint sensor embedded into the power button. It has a backlit 78-key keyboard and a Force Touch trackpad with a glass surface.
It has two Thunderbolt 3 (Type-C) ports that are compatible with the brand-new USB 4 standard. These Thunderbolt 3 ports are not compatible with external GPU enclosures, though, and the M1 chip doesn’t support external graphics cards. Other connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
The new MacBook Air’s 49.9WHr battery can last up to 15 hours of web browsing or 18 hours of video streaming. It charges at 30W via the USB Type-C port. The laptop also features an ambient light sensor and display output capability of up to 6K resolution at 60Hz.

The MacBook Pro 13 with the M1 chip features a 13.3-inch Retina Display (IPS LCD) with QHD resolution, 500 nits brightness, DCI-P3 colour gamut support, and True Tone adjustments for colour temperature. It features M1 processor, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage for the base variant, but its RAM can be configured up to 16GB and storage can be chosen from 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB.
The laptop runs macOS Big Sur out of the box. It features stereo speakers with high dynamic range, Dolby Atmos audio, a three-microphone array, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo port. The new MacBook Pro 13 also features a Touch ID fingerprint reader, a 720p FaceTime HD webcam, a 78-key backlit keyboard, and a Force Touch trackpad with a glass surface.
The new MacBook Pro 13 has two Thunderbolt 3 ports (USB Type-C connector, compatible with USB 4), dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0. The Thunderbolt 3 ports support video and audio output, data transfer, and fast charging (USB Power Delivery). However, they don’t support external GPU enclosures for graphics acceleration.
The 58.2WHr battery charges at up to 61W and lasts up to 17 hours during web browsing and 20 hours during video streaming. The laptop supports up to 6K resolution at 60Hz for external displays.

The new Mac Mini runs macOS Big Sur out of the box and comes equipped with Apple’s new M1 processor, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. However, RAM can be upgraded to 16GB and storage can be upgraded to 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB when purchasing via Apple’s website or authorized resellers.
It has a built-in speaker, a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo port, one HDMI 2.0 port, two Thunderbolt 3 (USB 4 with USB Type-C) ports, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a gigabit Ethernet port, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0.
