A couple of months ago, Oppo launched the Reno 8 series in the Indian market. The Oppo Reno 8 series, as of now, consists of two smartphones—the Oppo Reno 8 and the Oppo Reno 8 Pro. Now, the brand has started teasing the launch of a new special edition variant of the Reno 8 Pro. For the upcoming limited edition variant, Oppo has partnered with the makers of the House of the Dragon series.
The company has started teasing the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G House of the Dragon Limited Edition in India, so we can expect it to make a debut soon in the country. Let us take a look at the design of the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G House of the Dragon Limited Edition that has been revealed in the official teaser.

The teaser posted by the company reveals that the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G House of the Dragon Edition will come in a black colour option. The back panel of the handset appears to have a leather finish. The rear panel will also house the famous dragon logo in golden colour.
In the teaser, Oppo has also shown some goodies that can be expected in the retail packaging. In terms of specifications, we may not see any changes compared to the regular Oppo Reno 8 Pro.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro: Specifications And Features
The Reno 8 Pro flaunts a 120Hz AMOLED display panel that measures 6.7-inches diagonally and has a Full HD+ resolution. The display panel peaks at 950 nits brightness and is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro sports an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max processor that comes paired with a Mali G610 GPU. It packs up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The handset comes pre-loaded with ColorOS 12, which is based on Android 12.
In terms of optics, the Reno 8 Pro relies on a triple-rear camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. It comes equipped with a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor for video calls and selfies.
The Oppo Reno 8 Pro is backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit and 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support. It makes use of a Type-C port for data transfers and charging. It offers an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. It weighs 183 grams and measures 161.2 × 74.2 × 7.34mm.
