Sony is working on its own subscription service, codenamed Spartacus, to rival Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass. Back in December, Bloomberg had reported that Spartacus would combine the services provided by PlayStation Now and PlayStation Plus for the PS4 and PS5. It has now been revealed that Sony will be offering three tiers for its subscription service.
The three new tiers for Spartacus will be called Essential, Extra and Premium. The first tier (Essential) is essentially a rebranded PlayStation Plus. It will allow you to access games that you can add to your library every month, for a monthly fee of $10.

It is reported that the catalogue could be the same as that of PS Now.
The last tier (Premium) will cost $16 monthly and will include all the games in the Extra tier, and will also let you access PS Now’s streaming capabilities. Moreover, you will also be able to access a library of classic games. That’s not all, it comes with a feature called “game trials” that will allow you to download and play new PlayStation games even before they are released. This could most likely let you play the games for a limited number of hours before launch, like the game trials feature on the EA Play service.
