POCO M5s With Helio G95, Quad Cameras Launched Globally: Price, Specifications

POCO launched its latest mid-range smartphones, the POCO M5 and the POCO M5s globally. While the POCO M5 made it to India, the POCO M5s did not. We had earlier reported that the POCO M5s would be based on the Redmi Note 10S, which turned out to be true. Also, the fact that it is based on a relatively old phone could make it irrelevant in the Indian market. Hence, there are chances that it may not make its way to India.

POCO M5s: Price, Availability

The POCO M5s starts at EUR 209 (approx. ₹16,489) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variant. Meanwhile, the 4GB RAM + 128GB variant is priced at EUR 229 (approx. ₹18,000). The top-spec variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage comes with a price tag of EUR 249 (approx. ₹19,830).

POCO M5s: Features, Specifications

The only visible difference between the POCO M5s and the Redmi Note 10S is the added black section with the POCO logo surrounding the camera island. It gets an identical design and build as the Redmi device. The handset sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1,100 nits. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 processor which is coupled with an ARM Mali-G76 GPU. Furthermore, the device is equipped with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

In terms of imaging, the device comes with a quad-camera setup at the rear, comprising a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calling duties, there’s a 13MP camera housed in the punch-hole camera cutout on the display.

Some noteworthy features of the POCO M5s include an IP53 water-resistant rating, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, a microSD card slot, Hi-Res Audio, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity features of the device include a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The device packs in a 5,000mAh battery coupled with 33W fast charging. It runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.
