Poco M5s Spotted On TUV Ahead Of Launch

Poco India is reportedly gearing up to launch two new mid-range M-series smartphones—the Poco M5 and the Poco M5s. The Poco M5 was recently teased by the brand via its social media channels. The smartphone is expected to feature a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and a leather-textured back panel. Meanwhile, the Poco M5s has been spotted on the TDRA and the NBTC certification websites. The latest report suggests that the smartphone has been listed on the TUV Rheinland database. Let us take a look at the details.

Poco M5s Listed On TUV Rheinland Database: Specifications

As per the latest reports, the Poco M5s has been listed on the TUV Rheinland database. The certification was issued for the handset on July 15, 2022. However, the listing doesn’t reveal any details related to the device. The Poco M5s was also recently spotted on the NBTC certification website, suggesting that the smartphone will be launched in Thailand soon. Besides, the device also appeared on the TDRA certification website with the model number 2207117BPG.

Based on previous reports, the Poco M5s will come as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10S. While the upcoming Poco smartphone is expected to share its spec sheet with the Redmi Note 10S, it might ship with MIUI 13 and a completely different rear design. As for the other specifications, the Poco M5s is said to feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1,100 nits.

The smartphone might come equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 processor coupled with ARM Mali-G76 GPU. For photography, the smartphone is said to offer a quad-camera setup including a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. We can also expect the device to feature a 13MP selfie snapper.

The smartphone is expected to arrive in three storage variants—4GB RAM + 64GB, 4GB RAM + 128GB, and 6GB RAM + 128GB. Other primary features on the device might include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor, a microSD card slot, stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an IP53 water-resistance rating.
