Realme 9i with Snapdragon 680 Launching in India on January 18

Realme, earlier this week, launched the Realme 9i handset in Vietnam. The Realme 9i is the first handset to launch under the Realme 9 series. Now, the company has confirmed that the Realme 9i will launch on January 18 in the Indian market. Realme Vice President Madhav Sheth took to Twitter to announce the same.

Sheth also revealed that the Realme 9i will be the first Snapdragon 680-powered device in the segment. Take a look at the teaser below:

Realme 9i Specifications, Features and Price

The Realme 9i features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ (2,412 × 1,080 pixel) resolution and 401ppi pixel density. The display panel can go as high as 480nits in terms of brightness and refreshes 90 times per second. The display houses a punch-hole-notch in the top left corner.

Powering the Realme 9i is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, which is currently Qualcomm‘s fastest 4G processor. The Snapdragon 680 is built on a 6nm fabrication process and comes coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. The handset comes with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. It boots Android 11 with the company’s proprietary Realme UI 2.0 on top.

The Realme 9i offers a 50MP triple-rear camera setup including a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP B&W lens. There is also a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The handset is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and 33W fast charging support.

The handset offers a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It weighs 190grams and retails in two colour options—blue and black. It retails for 64,90,000 Vietnamese Dong (approx ₹21,150) for the 6GB + 128GB variant in Vietnam. However, we can expect it to be priced around the ₹15,000 mark in India.
