Samsung Smart Monitor M8 With 4K Resolution, Tizen OS, Built-In Webcam Launched In India: Price, Specifications

Samsung has finally introduced its Smart Monitor M8 in the Indian market. The Korean giant showcased it at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) held in Las Vegas in January 2022. It later announced pre-orders for the smart monitor in India from June 3 to June 9, 2022. Now, Samsung has finally announced its price, availability, and launch offers. The Monitor M8 can be used for productivity as well as for entertainment purposes.

Samsung Smart Monitor M8: Price, Availability

The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 is priced at ₹59,999 in India. It will go on sale on June 15 2022, and will be available for purchase via Amazon, Samsung Shop, and other offline stores. It comes in Sunset Pink, Spring Green, Warm White, and Daylight Blue colour options. 

Samsung has opened a new pre-booking window from June 10 to June 14 2022, for its Smart Monitor M8 in India. You will get the Galaxy Buds 2 worth ₹11,999, Samsung smart wireless keyboard worth ₹3,499, and a ₹3,000 instant discount voucher if you pre-book the Monitor M8. Additionally, you will get a discount of ₹5,000 on the device, and BookMyShow and The Body Shop vouchers worth ₹500 each.  

Samsung Smart Monitor M8: Features, Specifications

The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 comes with a sophisticated and sleek design with just 11.4mm thickness. It gets a metal base plate with adjustable height and can be tilted as per your preference. It flaunts a 32-inch 4K VA type panel with 1.07 billion colours, 99 percent sRGB coverage, and a peak brightness of 400 nits. 

The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 is a dual-purpose monitor and can also work as a standalone smart television if required. Samsung claims it is the world’s first monitor to be powered by Tizen operating system. You can run a variety of apps and streaming services such as Amazon, Netflix, Apple TV, and more. It comes bundled with a rechargeable remote control for accessing its TV controls. 

The smart monitor can take inputs from two computers simultaneously. You can operate both in a split-screen display mode. That’s not all, it can function as a Smart Hub to access and control your smart home electronics. The monitor bundles in a movable magnetic detachable camera dubbed the SlimFit Cam, which, together with the 2.2 channel stereo speakers and far-field microphones, can fulfil your video calling needs. The camera is capable of shooting in Full HD 1080p resolution. The SlimFit Cam comes with Face Tracking and Auto Zoom features, which can detect a person’s face while on display and automatically focus on it. 

The latest Samsung monitor packs in features such as Samsung TV Plus, Web Service (Microsoft 365), SmartThings, Workspace, Apple AirPlay support, Game bar 2.0, Google Duo, and more. In terms of connectivity, it gets Bluetooth V4.2, Wi-Fi 5, two USB Type-C ports, and one micro HDMI port.
