For years, transferring WhatsApp chat history between Android and iOS devices has been quite a painful affair. Sure, third-party tools exist, but most of them are tedious and don’t always work. Most importantly, it’s hard to trust third-party services due to the nature of personal data. Thankfully last month, WhatsApp started pushing out a new way to transfer WhatsApp data from your iPhone to the latest Samsung flagship devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Now, according to WABetaInfo.com, WhatsApp is also working to make this feature work the other way around.

You Can Soon Transfer WhatsApp Chats From Android to iOS Using The Official Tool

As per the latest report from WABetaInfo, the upcoming WhatsApp beta version 2.21.19.1 will enable users to migrate WhatsApp chat from Android to iPhone. However, at this point, it is not clear whether this functionality will require a USB Type C to Lightning Cable connection between two devices like it does when migrating data from iPhone to Samsung smartphones. The feature seems to be under development and there’s no word on its public availability right now. However, those in beta circles may be able to preview it with the next update.

Rumour has it that the company is also planning to introduce granular control over the ‘Last Seen’ feature.
