However, the feature was limited to six emojis—👍, ❤️, 😂, 😮, 😢, and 🙏. While users appeared quite thrilled with the new addition to the app, they urged the app to roll out support for all emoji reactions. The Meta-owned company has finally taken the feedback into consideration and has started rolling out a new update to add support for all emojis for message reactions.

To react to messages using emojis, you will have to long-press a message to open a tray containing multiple emojis. You can simply choose any one emoji to react to a message. The app will stick the emoji to the message as your reaction.
You can check if your app has the new emoji reactions by long-pressing a message to react to it—if a new plus icon is visible within the reaction tray, that means you can already react with any emoji. iOS users can check if they have a draggable section, which allows them to select and search for any emoji. As for the final release, it might take a few days before the update makes its way to all Android and iOS devices.
