Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi K50i 5G smartphone in the Indian market. The Xiaomi Redmi K50i 5G marks the comeback of the Redmi K-series in the Indian market. To recall, the first set of Redmi K-series devices—the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro—were launched back in July 2019 in the country. The Redmi K50i 5G is a rebranded Redmi Note 11T Pro that was launched a couple of months ago in China. The handset made its global debut as the POCO X4 GT in the global markets.

Xiaomi Redmi K50i 5G: Specifications And Features

The Xiaomi Redmi K50i 5G sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display panel with a Full HD+ (2,460 1,080 pixel) resolution, 650nits peak brightness, and 144Hz refresh rate. The display panel supports a 1,400:1 contrast ratio, up to 270Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.

Powering the Redmi K-series smartphone is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor and a Mali G610 GPU. The Dimensity 8100 is manufactured on a 5nm process and brings with it up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone comes pre-loaded with MIUI 13, based on Android 12. Xiaomi is also promising two Android version updates and three years of Android security patch updates for the Redmi K50i.

The Redmi K50i 5G offers a triple-rear camera setup including a 64MP primary shooter with 1/1.72-inch sensor size and an F1.89 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, it relies on a 16MP front shooter.

The Redmi K-series device comes equipped with a 5,080mAh battery unit and 67W fast charging support. It makes use of a Type-C port for charging and data transfers. The smartphone offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Redmi K50i comes in three colour options—Stealth Black, Quick Silver, and Phantom Blue. It weighs 200 grams and measures 163.64 × 74.29 × 8.87mm. Connectivity options of the smartphone include dual-SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, Glonass, and Galileo.
