Amazon has launched a new affordable version of its video streaming service— the Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition, in India. The plan was first introduced for Airtel users back in January 2021. Now, the e-commerce giant has expanded the service to all users in the country. The new Amazon streaming service for mobile platform is priced at ₹599 per year. This allows users to subscribe to Amazon Prime Video with a mobile-only plan.

However, the service will be accessible to a single user on one smartphone. In contrast, the Amazon Prime subscription offers access to multiple profiles and allows users to stream content at up to 4K resolution on computers or smart TVs.

According to Amazon, all Android users can sign up for the plan via the Prime Video App. Alternatively, you can visit the Prime Video website to buy an annual subscription to Prime Video Mobile Edition. The new Amazon Prime subscription is priced at ₹599 per year. Customers can also choose to upgrade to the full Prime Video experience, which is priced at ₹1,499. The plan also offers other benefits such as music streaming and faster deliveries.
With the latest launch, Amazon is aiming to accelerate its growth in India. The newly launched mobile version of Prime Video is expected to help the company compete with other streaming services such as Netflix, Voot, and Disney+ Hotstar. The platforms already offer an affordable mobile-only plan for users in the country.
