Apple AirPods (3rd Generation), MacBook Pro (2021) Delayed In India

Apple, the Cupertino-based tech giant, had unveiled its newest AirPods and MacBook Pro at the ‘Unleashed’ event last week. The company had planned to launch its updated product range in India yesterday (26 October 2021), but it seems like there has been some delay in the proceedings. Apple fans who were aspiring to get hold of these devices will have to wait for a few days more. Apple has pushed the launch of AirPods (3rd Gen.) and MacBook Pro 2021 (14-inch and 16-inch) to October 29, 2021.

Apple hasn’t released a statement specifying what hindered the availability of the products in India. However, the MacBook Pro (2021) and AirPods (3rd Gen.) are on schedule to launch in the US, which reduces the possibility of production issues caused due to the ongoing chip crisis and looks more like a logistics issue.

Apple MacBook Pro (2021) Features, Price

The Apple MacBook Pro (2021) comes in 14-inch and 16-inch screen size variants. Apple has got rid of the thick bezel above the screen and has gone with an iPhone-like notched display for the MacBook Pro. It removed the Touch Bar from its latest models, which is now replaced by physical Function keys and a wider escape key. The laptops sport a Liquid Retina XDR display driven by Mini-LED technology. It also gets a 120Hz variable refresh rate screen, which Apple calls ProMotion technology.

Apple had announced to move away from Intel Processors for its future products. It is continuing to phase out the Intel-based laptops and desktops from its lineup in favour of ARM-based custom processors it has developed in house. The new MacBook Pro (2021) can be had with the new M1 Pro or M1 Max chips, which are based on TSMC’s 5nm fabrication process and come with up to 10-core CPU and up to 32-core GPU. The MacBook Pro (2021) models run on macOS Monterey out of the box.

The MacBook Pro (2021) 14-inch variant is priced at ₹1,94,900 while the 16-inch model starts at ₹2,39,900 in India. It will now be available on Apple’s website from 29 October 2021.

Apple AirPods 3rd Generation Features, Price

The Apple AirPods 3rd Gen. come with an improved design with a smaller stem. It also promises improved sound quality and better battery life. The AirPods come with a custom driver and a high dynamic range amplifier to reproduce powerful bass. It gets Spatial Audio support with Dynamic Head Tracking, something that was earlier limited to the AirPods Max and the AirPods Pro.

Each earbud comes with an inward-facing microphone, which reduces the wind noises. The AirPods are IPX4 rated for sweat or splash resistance. The new AirPods are also compatible with the Find My service, which lets you find your lost or stolen earbuds. The AirPods offer up to 6 hours of music, 5 hours of music (Spatial Audio enabled), and up to 4 hours for calling on a single charge. Combining it with the MagSafe charging case can get you up to 30 hours of music playback.
