iQOO will be adding another smartphone in its ‘Z6’ lineup, called the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G in India on September 14, 2022. We have learned from our sources that the mid-range smartphone will not come with a charger in the box. This cost-cutting measure is like a virus, and iQOO is not the first brand to do it and will not be the last. There’s cut-throat competition in the sub ₹20,000 category of smartphones in India, and we are seeing brands resorting to such strategies to offer their products at aggressive prices. Now that is out of the way, let’s have a look at what the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G would bring to the table.
iQOO Z6 Lite 5G: Features (Rumoured)
Going by the teaser image, the iQOO Z6 Lite comes with an industrial design with a rectangular camera island and flat sides. It comes in a light blue shade with a colour-blended camera island that houses the camera lenses and the LED flash. At the front, it gets a waterdrop notch, which makes it look like a device from 2018.
The iQOO Z6 Lite 5G will sport a large LCD panel with a 120Hz screen refresh rate. It is now confirmed to be the first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest entry-level 5G chipset, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, which is built on the efficient 6nm fabrication process. The new processor promises 15 percent uplift in CPU performance and 10 percent uplift in GPU performance over the older Snapdragon 400 series processor. The iQOO Z6 Lite 5G managed to score around 3,88,000 on the Antutu benchmark beating its rivals powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 and Snapdragon 680. If this translates to real-life performance, this could turn out to be a good phone for casual gaming too.
