The last major GoPro Hero release was a full year ago, and the GoPro Hero 11 launch may happen shortly. A complete spec sheet and a fresh set of renders from WinFuture offer us a better idea of what the future action camera will look like.
The design of the GoPro Hero 11 Black appears to remain unchanged, with the same lens, front and rear screens, buttons, and ports, which has been around since the Hero 9 series. However, last year’s model included a bigger sensor and a brand-new GP2 processor, allowing video to be captured at double the frame rate.
Although it hasn’t been verified, but there has been speculation that the 11-series of the action cam may support 6K video recording, thanks to a new sensor. To recall, previous generations had a maximum resolution of 5.3K. This will likely call for a new processor, which may also allow for novel video processing techniques like what the Hero 10 Black edition introduced in terms of the HyperSmooth 4.0 video stabilization. Other standard feature like HDR recording, and social media modes are expected to remain the same on the Hero 11.
