iQOO is bringing its latest flagship smartphone, the iQOO 9T to India soon. Amazon has started teasing it on its portal, suggesting the launch is near. While the teaser gives us a fair idea about its design, a hands-on video by Tech Burner on YouTube reveals the device fully, leaving nothing to the imagination. The iQOO 9T looks nothing like the previous iQOO 9 smartphones, instead, it seems to be designed along the lines of the new iQOO 10 series.
The video has been taken down, but thankfully we got hold of some images. The smartphone comes with a dual-finish rear. It comes in white colour with a BMW Motorsport branding, which has been a hallmark of iQOO flagship devices lately. The top section including the camera island gets a glossy black carbon Kevlar treatment. The YouTuber also shows a solid black colour variant, which comes with a matte textured finish with a carbon Kevlar-type top section.
The smartphone will come with a premium aluminium frame and glass back. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a glimpse of the smartphone from the front. However, expect it to come with a centred hole-punch camera cutout on the display, similar to other iQOO flagships. The handset comes bundled with a clear case, charging cable, and a 120W fast-charging brick. The YouTuber confirms the device to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Let’s have a look at its leaked specifications below.
iQOO 9T: Specifications (Rumoured)
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the iQOO 9T will sport a 6.78-inch Full HD+ E5 AMOLED by Samsung with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor built on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process. The new processor promises to offer 10 percent higher CPU performance and 30 percent more power efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 of the iQOO 9 Pro. It will be equipped with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Selfie duties will be handled by the 16MP front-facing camera. The device will make use of Vivo’s V1+ dedicated imaging chip, which is found in Vivo’s flagship X80 series of smartphones.
Brar adds that the handset will be powered by a 4,700mAh battery under its hood coupled with 120W fast charging support. It seems to miss out on the wireless charging feature. The iQOO 9T will run on FunTouch OS based on Android 12. If rumours are to be believed, the smartphone might launch in the last week of July 2022.
