The JioMart-WhatsApp integration was in the works since April 2020, and JioMart launched its first demo by introducing a chat-based interface for the app in Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Kalyan. This was followed by a pilot rollout in December last year. Finally, the widespread rollout was announced after Jio’s annual general meeting which was held on Monday.
