OnePlus launched the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 software version last week. Soon after its release, the company rolled the first OxygenOS 13 Open beta build for the OnePlus 10 Pro. The brand also started recruitment of Beta tester to test out OyxgenOS 13 for the OnePlus 9RT. Now, OnePlus is looking for Closed Beta Testers who can test OxygenOS 13 on the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro. The company took to its community forum to announce the OnePlus 8/8 Pro Android 13 Closed Beta program.

The company is looking for 200 testers who meet their requirements and are using the OnePlus 8/8 Pro Indian unit. The company also has a reward to thank users who participate in the Closed beta testing program.
Those who are apply for the Closed beta testing program are sworn to absolute secrecy. OnePlus warns that if a beta tester exposes the unstable CBT package and others download it out of curiosity, it may cause serious malfunctions of their OnePlus phones. Therefore, the brand is asking users not to share the CBT installation package or any content related to the internal beta with people outside the project team. Additionally, you are required to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) with OnePlus to be a member of the closed beta testing program.
Since you will be flashing the beta software on your device, it may contain some bugs. Moreover, some of the apps may not work. Hence, if you are using the OnePlus 8 or the OnePlus 8 Pro as a primary device, we recommend you to not enroll for the same. Its advisable to wait for the company to release the stable Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 for the OnePlus 8/8 Pro.
Furthermore, OnePlus announced that it has changed its CBT strategies. Instead of a long-term CBT, this program will include short-term Closed Beta Projects. This implies that only a few builds will be released, and the stable release of Android 13 could arrive early for the OnePlus 8 series.
