Just last month, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor as the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset that was launched in November last year. Now, it appears that Qualcomm is preparing to introduce the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor at this year’s Snapdragon Tech Summit. The event will be held from November 14 to November 17, 2022.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Launch Date Leaked
Although the company had revealed the dates of the 2022 Snapdragon Summit on its website, there was no mention of the exact date when the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will be unveiled. Later, the event listing was taken down from the website. The November Summit may have been accidentally published before time, as Qualcomm doesn’t usually reveal the dates of such events early on. However, if the event takes place as previously listed, we can expect the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 to debut in November.
Last year, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Tech Summit took place from November 30 to December 1. The company announced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on the first day of the event. The firm may likely do something similar this year as well.
