Sony PS5 Faceplates Could Soon Arrive In India, Limited Stocks Expected

Sony had unveiled custom galaxy-themed faceplates for its PlayStation5 consoles back in December last year.  It is now available in countries including the US, Canada, Japan, and Thailand. However, India is missing from the list. Now, a new rumour has surfaced, indicating that India could get the colourful new PS5 faceplates as well.

PS5 Faceplates Expected To Come To India

Twitter user Is PS5 Out In India? claims that PS5 faceplates will be coming to India. He adds that they may go on sale “soon,” however, stocks are expected to be very limited. When it comes to price, the tipster estimates the PS5 faceplates to cost around ₹3,999. It is speculated that these covers could go on sale when PS5 units are restocked next.

PS5 Faceplates: Features

The Sony PS5 Faceplates come in black, blue, purple, red, and pink colours. Its galaxy-inspired colour palette will be a cool way to customise your PS5. Sony’s console cover offerings came in the wake of last year’s DBrand Saga. For those in the dark, Sony had threatened legal action against various third-party companies that sold black faceplates for the PlayStation. Sony forced DBrand to remove its faceplates from the market.

Meanwhile, there are quite a few rumours about the new PS5 Pro console. It is speculated that the Pro version could launch in 2023 or 2024. The console will reportedly feature native 8K support. Additionally, it could offer gameplay at 120 FPS at a resolution of 2160p.
