Vivo X80 With Dimensity 9000, 50MP OIS Camera, 80W Fast Charging Launched: Price In India

Vivo has launched the Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro in India today. These phones were launched in China in April 2022. The Vivo X80 becomes the first smartphone in India to be powered by MediaTek’s top-of-the-line Dimensity 9000 chipset. It packs a 120Hz curved AMOLED display, the Vivo V1+ imaging chip, stereo speakers, and 80W fast charging, among other features.

Vivo X80: Features, Specifications

The Vivo X80 has a glass-and-metal sandwich design, with some variants getting a leather back panel. The device comes with a unique rear design, where the top portion is covered by a large camera island with a glossy black treatment. It sports a big 6.78-inch Full HD+ E5 grade curved AMOLED display from Samsung. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. 

The Vivo X80 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC (System on Chip) built on the TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process. Vivo says it has employed an ultra-large vapour cooling chamber to ensure the peak performance of the processor is sustained during gaming and video recording. The device is equipped with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage, for excellent read and write speeds. 

In the photography department, the Vivo X80 is the first handset in India to come with a 50MP Sony IMX866 sensor with an F1.75 aperture and OIS. It is accompanied by a 12MP Sony IMX633 ultrawide camera with an F2.0 aperture and 108-degree field-of-view, and a 12MP Sony IMX633 portrait camera with 2x optical zoom.

The rear camera comes with a Zeiss coating to reduce glare in images and videos. The phone supports 4K 60fps video recording using its rear cameras. Selfie addicts would be excited as it comes with a 32MP front-facing camera, which can also shoot 4K 30fps videos. 

Connectivity features of the phone include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, USB 2.0 Type-C port, NFC, IR sensor, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, and QZSS. Other noteworthy features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers.

The handset is powered by a 4,500mAh battery under its hood, which supports 80W wired charging. The device runs on Funtouch OS 12 on top of Android 12. 

Vivo X80 Price In India, Sale Date

The Vivo X80 prices in India start at ₹54,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant comes at a price tag of ₹59,999. The handset comes in Cosmic Black and Urban Blue colour variants.
