Chinese smartphone maker Vivo released the Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 software update for the Vivo X80 Pro back in August. The new update brought in all the essential Android 13 features as well as new enhancements that Vivo has added in its custom Funtouch OS 13. Now, the company has released the rollout timeline of the Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 for its other handsets. Vivo has announced on Twitter that the new Funtouch OS 13 software update will start rolling out starting from mid-November in the beta form.

As for the changelog, the Funtouch OS 13 software update will bring some noteworthy features such as “Notify when run”, a photo picker, hidden photos and videos feature for album, a new AQI card to the weather homepage, app pinning and screen pinning, phone cooling, and accessibility for setup wizard. As far as the rollout schedule goes, some flagship phones such as the Vivo X80, X70, X70 Pro, V25 Pro, and V25 will start getting the update as early as next month. On the other hand, the Vivo X60 series will get the update in December 2022, while the rest of the V-series and Y-series phones will get Funtouch OS 13 update in H1 2023.

The new software update will start rolling out in batches. Initially, we can expect the company to release the Funtouch OS 13 update to a limited number of users. Once the brand makes sure that the new beta build doesn’t contain any bugs, we can expect the broader release of the update.
